7 Steps to Design Your Dream Life
Steps to Becoming Unstoppable and Break Through to the Best Self You Were DESTN2B!
STEP 1: IDENTIFY YOU!
The first step in designing your dream life would be to know who you are. List 3-5 characteristics to describe your best self:
Everything you do should be centered on those words. What you focus on will magnify. This works whether it’s positive or negative. Remind yourself constantly of these words.
STEP 2: CELEBRATE YOURSELF!
Now that you have identified your best self, celebrate that you are unique. You have gifts, talents, and strengths that make you an original masterpiece. A masterpiece is more valuable than a copy. Avoid comparing yourself to others. List below the things that you are good at. Think about your gifts, talents and strengths:
STEP 3: EXPERIENCES, GROWTH AND CONTRIBUTION
Designing your life includes all areas of your life. Individually you may want to design your career, relationships, financial, spiritual, health and wellness, personal, or legacy. Prioritize which area you want to design first. Write your answer to this question: If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do(experience), be(growth), have and give as a contribution.
STEP 4: CONNECTIONS
The people we are closest to will affect our lives. Although we cannot choose our family members, we can choose the people to be around who could influence our designed life. Who would the people be to include in your circle. Who would be the people who would pull you up? Who are the people who are pulling you down?

STEP 5: SEIZE THE DAY!
Have you ever wondered what a typical day in your designed life would look like? For example, if you would like to live a healthier life, what would your healthy day look like? What would you eat for meals, what type of exercise are you doing, and what other lifestyle changes have you incorporated into your designed life? Take some time and reflect on what you want your area of designed life to look like: Be specific and give as much details as possible:
STEP 6: CONSISTENTLY PURSUE YOUR DESIGNED LIFE!
Consistency is the key. It will take 21 consecutive days to make or break a habit. If you get to Day 20 and neglect to accomplish something toward that life, start over from Day 1! With this step in mind, print a blank calendar from the internet or use a paper calendar you already have. Before retiring for the day, write down what you did for that day to get you closer to your designed life. If you neglect to do something that day, cut that day from the calendar and add it to the next month. Each day you do not achieve your daily goal you add on to getting closer to that designed life.
STEP 7: DO IT NOW! Beat Procrastination!
Procrastination is suicide on the installment policy. What is currently on your heart to get done toward a designed life? It’s time to have a sense of urgency. Take a step of faith to move toward the life you were designed to live! Complete this statement:
I am ready to move toward my designed life in the area of ______________. I have identified who I am and the gifts, talents and strengths I possess. I am focused on success, not failure. I know what I want to do, be and have in the way of experiences, growth and contribution. I have a detailed typical day in mind and I work toward it every day so I don’ delay my designed life. I am connected to people who support my efforts and have a positive influence in my life. My next plan of action is__________________________________________________________________________________.
